The Iowa Seed Association Board of Directors has decided to expand the education and networking opportunities available during the Association's Annual Meeting by partnering with the Agribusiness Showcase & Conference. The 2011 ISA Annual Meeting will be held in conjunction with the Agribusiness Showcase & Conference, scheduled for February 8-9, 2011 at the Varied Industries Building on the Iowa State Fairgrounds in Des Moines.
Nationally renowned speakers discussed the latest technology, innovations, and regulations affecting the ag industry during the 2010 Agribusiness Showcase & Conference; while nearly 1,000 industry professionals explored the exhibits and iron that filled the Varied Industries Building. No Charge Pesticide Container Recycling Program |
|
ISA met with Container Services Network (CSN) to begin revitalization of the container recycling program in Iowa. As a result of that meeting, in conjunction with AAI, the Iowa Department of Ag, Iowa Department of Natural Resources and Iowa State University, a new pesticide container recycling program was initiated. The program includes recycling of all plastic crop protection containers up to 55 gallon drums at no charge.
The Ag Container Recycling Council (ACRC at www.acrecycle.org) is the national organization that coordinates the pesticide container recycling program. TRI-rinse, the firm which previously operated the collections throughout Iowa, has been replaced by Container Services Network LLC (CSN) www.ContainerServicesNetwork.com.
